Group Offerings

We understand that pregnancy and the postpartum period are powerful, life-changing experiences - and that they can also bring about unexpected emotional challenges. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or feelings of isolation, our groups are designed to provide support, healing, and connection.

Currently, Mala Mantis Counseling is offering 2 FREE monthly groups at the Sophia Ann Center in Frederick (5728 Industry Lane, Suite B):

  • Moms Unplugged

    • 2nd Monday of the month

    • 6p-7p

  • Pregnancy After Loss

    • 4th Monday of the month

    • 6p-7p

What to Expect from Our Groups:

Our groups are led by our owner, Leeann Randow, an experienced, compassionate licensed therapist who specializes in perinatal mental health.

While Moms Unplugged focuses on navigating parenting and motherhood (the good, the bad and the ugly), our Pregnancy After Loss group is designed to support those navigating the complexities of pregnancy after experiencing perinatal loss of any kind.

Both groups include group discussions and emotional support, and hope that you’ll gain practical tools to manage your mental health while connecting with others who understand what you're going through.

Why Join Our Groups?

  • Confidential & Safe Environment: Everything shared in group stays within the group. We prioritize creating a non-judgmental, supportive space for every participant in order to have open, authentic conversations.

  • Peer Support: Share your experiences with others who truly understand the complexities of perinatal mental health. You're not alone on this journey.

  • Expert Guidance: Leeann specializes in perinatal mental health and has years of experience supporting individuals through pregnancy and postpartum challenges.
