Trauma‑Informed Clinical Supervision for Mental Health Clinicians
At Mala Mantis Counseling, we offer professional clinical supervision grounded in trauma‑informed care, relational depth, and reflective practice.
Our supervision services are designed to support mental health clinicians, social workers, counselors, and graduate students seeking growth in their clinical skills, ethical confidence, and therapeutic presence.
Whether you’re pursuing licensure hours toward LCSW‑C, LCPC, or you’re a seasoned clinician seeking continuing support, our supervision approach prioritizes integrity, self‑awareness, and evidence‑based practice.
What Is Clinical Supervision?
Clinical supervision is a collaborative, supportive process in which an experienced therapist guides your professional development as a clinician. This includes enhancing clinical judgment, refining therapeutic approaches, fostering ethical decision‑making, and strengthening your capacity to engage with clients safely and effectively.
Our supervision emphasizes:
Trauma‑informed practice and ethical standards.
Self‑reflexive therapeutic presence.
Case formulation and conceptualization.
Boundaries, countertransference, and therapist self‑care.
Integration of evidence‑based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and IFS.
This trauma‑informed supervision model supports clinicians in deepening their understanding of systemic influences on client experience, nervous system regulation, attachment dynamics, and cultural humility - all while fostering growth in your therapeutic voice.
Who Benefits from Supervision?
Our supervision is geared toward:
Licensed clinicians seeking ongoing professional development.
Clinicians working toward LCSW‑C, LCPC, or other licensure requirements.
Graduate students or interns needing supervision hours.
Clinicians seeking trauma‑informed or perinatal mental health supervision.
Practitioners interested in relational therapy and embodied clinical presence.
This supervision model supports clinicians working in settings such as private practice, community mental health, hospitals, schools, perinatal care settings, and agency settings where relational depth and trauma‑informed practice are essential.

Trauma‑Informed Care Principles - Applying safety, stabilization, and empowerment to clinical work.
Mindfulness & Somatic Regulation - Supporting clinician presence, attunement, and nervous system awareness.
This combination of supervision frameworks helps clinicians refine both the art and science of therapy - from case conceptualization to embodied therapeutic presence.
